The Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) is the pre-eminent force for promoting standards in student affairs, student services, and student development programs. The CAS Standards and accompanying Self-Assessment Guides assist student affairs in describing the extent to which their programs and services meet their espoused goals. During this webinar, we will review the seven basic steps to using the CAS self-assessment guides for program evaluation. These steps include establishing and preparing your team, beginning the self-study, summarizing evaluations, identifying discrepancies, determining appropriate corrective action, recommending steps for program enhancement and last but not least, preparing action plans. Additionally, Western Michigan University will join us to share their experience of planning and executing their CAS infused program evaluation.
