Many institutions will invite external peer reviewers to evaluate and give feedback on internal program reviews, while other institutions will have internal committees on campus that will assess the various program reviews. No matter your program review process, we recommend incorporating some type of formal assessment process at the conclusion of each program's review submission, so that the program has feedback and recommendations on areas to improve upon moving forward.
The attachments below are what we consider to be ideal examples of program review assessment! Example 3 utilizes a rubric with a rating scale, while examples 1, 2 and 4 ask for an overall judgment and a narrative response on specific dimensions to look at within the review.
